Families with Preschool to Grade 2 children who face barriers in accessing services in the community are invited to participate in this program. Learning Starts at Home educates families about early learning, child development and connects them with community resources. A program facilitator visits the family once a week for 12 weeks.
Weekly sessions provide opportunities for children to…
- experience books
- play and learn
- talk, sing and rhyme
- develop their beginning reading skills
Parents learn about…
- supporting their children’s learning and development
- parent-child interactions
- resources in the community
Each session will include time for parents to talk with a facilitator and for parents and children to learn, play and have fun together!
We hope that you will join us!
