Calm Kids, Happy Families

We can help!

  • This program is for children with social-emotional concerns who struggle with self-regulation
  • Children learn skills in a fun, positive and caring setting
  • Parents learn skills too


Children will learn and practice the following skills:

  • Tools to manage strong emotions
  • Dealing with bullying and teasing
  • Friendship and problem-solving skills
  • Developing positive thinking skills
  • Communication skills and assertiveness
  • Expected and unexpected behaviours
  • Managing screen time
  • Building self-esteem


Parent sessions focus on:

  • Tips for parenting children with social-emotional and self-regulation challenges
  • Weekly activity suggestions to reinforce concepts at home and school
  • Connecting with other families

Program Fees

This is a fee-for-service program.

Financial Assistance is available for those who need our services but are not able to pay for services because of financial barriers.

The program is delivered by Provisional Psychologists, who are supervised by a Registered Psychologist. Many private and employee benefit plans will cover services provided by Provisionally Registered Psychologists. It is your responsibility to know what your insurance provider will and will not cover.

This program may qualify for Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) funding.

Note: Groups are subject to cancellation if enrollment is below set minimums.
